I had a mixed experience at Hotel Triton. The location is fantastic, right in front of the Chinatown Gate and near Union Square, making it super convenient for exploring the city. However, my room was quite small, and I found the amenities lacking, especially the breakfast options. The staff were friendly and eager to help, but I did encounter issues with the shower water pressure and noise levels from the street. Overall, it was a decent stay for the price, but not sure if I’d rush back.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, though it was on the smaller side. The bed was a full size, which was cozy for one, but I can't imagine it being suitable for a longer stay. The bathroom was tiny with limited space.
Service
9.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They did their best to assist with my requests, which I really appreciated.
Location
8.0
The location is perfect if you want to be in the heart of the city. It's just steps from Chinatown and close to shopping and dining options. However, it can be quite noisy, especially in the early mornings.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast included was a plus, but the options were quite limited, mainly just bagels and cream cheese. I really missed having something more substantial like fruit or yogurt.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel lacks some amenities, and while there was a happy hour, the gym was quite small. The overall urban amenities they charge for seemed a bit excessive given the limited facilities.

Overall, my stay at Hotel Triton had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, putting me right at the base of Chinatown and near Union Square, making it easy to explore. However, the unexpected urban amenity fee felt misleading and added to the overall cost. While I appreciated the clean and comfortable room, some amenities fell short, like the bathroom size and a few maintenance issues.

Rooms
7.0
I found my room clean and equipped with essentials like a mini refrigerator, but it felt pretty small. The bathroom especially was cramped, making it difficult to move around comfortably.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and welcoming, eager to assist. though there were moments when the service could have been better coordinated. I encountered a frustrating check-out experience that left a lot to be desired.
Location
9.0
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's location. right in the heart of the city. It was ideal for exploring many dining options and tourist attractions, which I loved.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was included in the amenity fee, but it was somewhat underwhelming and crowded. The grab-and-go style didn't quite meet my expectations, especially considering the price.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel did provide some basic facilities, like a water purifier, I found the $30 amenity fee unreasonable given the limited offerings. It felt more like a way to inflate the price of my stay than to provide real value.

I had an overall enjoyable stay at Hotel Triton, thanks to the cozy beds, friendly staff, and great location near Chinatown. However, the amenities fees felt unnecessary, and I encountered some room maintenance issues that disrupted my experience. The hotel shines in terms of aesthetics and cleanliness, but some rooms might need updates.

Rooms

My room was nicely decorated, but the layout was a bit odd, with the TV positioned awkwardly. While the bed was super comfortable, I did find some stains on a towel. Overall, the space was manageable, though a bit small.

The staff was generally super friendly and helpful, making my check-in smooth and accommodating any requests. However, I did notice some inconsistencies in service quality during my stay.
Location

The location is stellar, just a 5-minute walk from the BART station and close to all the fun shops and restaurants in Chinatown. It felt safe, and I loved exploring the area.
Dining
7.0
While the hotel didn’t offer breakfast, there are plenty of great dim sum spots nearby that I enjoyed. The whole area is a foodie paradise, so eating out was easy.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some decent amenities like an evening cocktail hour and fresh coffee in the lobby. However, the $30 amenity fee felt a bit excessive for what was provided.
